[He's getting a picture of what might as well be a cat fresh out of a commercial for how silky and luxurious she looks. Sporting a nice fancy ribbon and sitting on a matching fancy pillow with her name stitched on it.]
[Cat's probably living better than you, Nanu.]
She's doing well. I'm still trying to pin down a diet that will help her coat maintain its sheen without looking oily, but she's adjusted to the cottage just fine.
[Oh, that cat is absolutely living better than him. And he can't even complain about it.]
Look at that beauty. See, I knew you'd be the right kid to care for her.
You gotta throw some fatty acids in her diet if you want her to really shine. This place doesn't seem to have any fish we got back home, but there's probably something that works.
Something we'll need to experiment with together, I guess. I'm more used to having to manage the diet of cats much larger than these guys, so at least a few have ended up becoming little butterballs on my watch...
Not that Kanoa has been helping much there.
Little Duchess is certainly living up to her name so far, though. Looks like you're spoiling the crap out of her.
Children do have a habit of overfeeding don't they? I can send you my recipe and portioning if you're interested. Let me know if you make changes so I can try it myself.
I wouldn't say spoiled, but she's got just as much of a right to live a healthy life as anyone else here. She also does have some rules to follow though, so it's not entirely for free.
Have you been having trouble? She simply knows she gets rewards for doing what she's supposed to, so why would she do anything else?
[Granted his number one concern had been keeping the cat out of his workspace. That was an easy enough task- he wasn't expecting feline miracles.
He does send a picture of his recipe over, unsurprisingly it's fairly involved, and he's made a fair bit of notes on it that he sends along too. His secret science nerd is showing.]
I hope that's all clear enough. I wasn't expecting a need to share it, so it's a bit messy.
[But oh, he wasn't actually expecting to get that so soon. He's just gonna give that a quick read, and...actually smile a little at all the notes scrawled in there. Vil, your inner nerd is absolutely showing.]
[And it's honestly endearing.]
You put a lot of thought into this, huh? She's eating better than most humans at this point.
Treats, mint, and catnip have done wonders for positive reinforcement.
As an actor and model I've always had to be incredibly mindful of my diet, both for the sake of my figure as well as handling some of the harsh requirements of filming. While I don't hold others to my standard, I feel as though it would be a disservice not to use my knowledge to ensure others have the energy to perform their best, as well as remain in good health.
I have mentioned being an actor since I was a young boy, haven't I? I still get royalties from all my movies, which is a sizeable sum on its own, then add in the modelling and all the advertising and events I do. I've even been working on putting out my own line of cosmetics after I graduate.
I wasn't joking or exaggerating when I said I had a career.

Maybe supplementary treats might be a good first step, until I can figure out a balance it with her food.

[And if there's any truth to it he's absolutely going to need help enforcing "rules" on the menagerie he's got at home...]
But sure. Can't hurt to see what you got and try it out. If it helps slim them all out in the meantime then even better.

The Duchess is no exception.

[Plus, if Vil is spending all his time and energy on her diet, it's less time spent yelling at Nanu about his, so that's a win in his book.]
Still, I'm glad to know that she's in such good hands. For all that you freaked out over the idea, turns out you're a natural at this.
How do you feel about giving her some siblings?

Fair, but still ouch. Thought we were getting on well enough I'd at least qualify for some kind of friend discount.
But fine, fine. So much for trying to get The Duchess a nice Duke to keep her company.

The Duchess is perfectly capable and happy on her own. I doubt she'd enjoy sharing the attention.

Tapu know I'm not using it anywhere else right now.
